The Livingston County Bale Trail is a wonderful way to get outside, see the fall color, and enjoy creative fall decorations as well.
The trail is a Livingston County 4-H Livestock Club fundraiser implemented by the Livingston County Cooperative Extension Office.
What is a Bale Trail? The displays are artfully decorated hay bales!
The Bale Trail includes displays in Smithland, Salem, and in Burna. 2019 is the inaugural year for the trail and consists of eight entries. The rolling hills and wooded areas of Livingston County, along with the displays, together create a picturesque drive.
You can download the trail map here. The display locations include an address for GPS directions. Trail entires are on display from now through October 31.
From start to finish, the trail is approximately 24 miles or 35 minutes of drive time. Of course, add in time to arrive at and return from the trail.
You can find more information on the Trail Facebook Page and vote for your fan favorite. All votes must be in by October 31.
