Free Kids Fishing Tournament
Join in the fun of a morning full of fishing, fun, food, and prizes. This Annual Free Fishing Event is open to children ages 15 and under. Bring a pole, or the Chamber will provide one for you. Bait and snacks are also provided. Trophies are awarded by age groups. The Event is Sponsored by Between The Rivers Fishing Guide and the Grand Rivers Chamber of Commerce.
Dates: Saturday, June 1, 9:00 – 11:00 AM.
Location: Little Lake Park in Grand Rivers, KY.
Reservations: Register on location the morning of the event. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Why we love it: It is a fun day for kids, it’s free, and who doesn’t like to fish.
Last Man Standing Big One Bowfishing Tournament. Presented by The Bowfishing Brotherhood
Join the Bowfishing Brotherhood for the 6th Annual Last Man Standing Bowfishing Tournament. Bank shooters are welcome.
Date: August 3, 2019, 7PM – 3AM, Pre-Shoot Meeting 6:45PM
Location: Barkley Dam Pavilion
Registration: Call 270-217-3435 for information. $25 Registration Fee. 70% Payout of Entry Fees. Side Pots $10 per shooter with 100% Payout.
Why we love it: The Bowfishing Brotherhood not only supports responsible bowfishing but also supports their brothers and sisters of the outdoors in times of need. Grand Rivers Marina Day
Celebrate a waterway of life with Green Turtle Bay Marina and Resort. This event is free and open to the public. Activities traditionally include music, bouncers, kayak rides, Food and retail vendors, children’s games and arts & crafts and fireworks.
Date: Saturday, August 17
Location: Green Turtle Bay Resort

Why we love it: It is a day of family fun centered around the water.
Piano Men Music Show
Check out this Brand-new musical show at the Badgett Playhouse- From Elton John to Billy Joel and everything in between!
Dates: Fridays, June 14, 21, and 28 at 7PM.

Why we love it: Shows at the Badgett Playhouse feature two full hours of musical talent and rival anything you see in Branson.
Kentucky Lake Hot August Blues Music Festival
One of the top summer events in the Lakes area. The two-day festival features blues performers from around the world. Whether seated in the amphitheater or watching and listening lakeside from your boat, the music will heat up your August weekend fun.
Dates: Friday and Saturday nights, August 23 and 24, 2019
Location: Kenlake State Resort Park in Aurora, KY.

Why we love it: Hot August Blues is two days of food, fun, friends and exceptional music by both local, regional and charted artists.
Tour the Columbus replica ships, the Nina and Pinta
Step aboard these replica Columbus ships and be whisked back in time. Marvel at the design and materials of these historic caravel ships. These floating museums feature exhibits on board each vessel highlighting the history of the Age of Discovery, navigation of the era, how the ships were built, and a taste of what life was like over 500 years ago.
Dates: August 30- September 8, 2019, daily 9AM -6PM.
Location: Green Turtle Bay Marina, Grand Rivers, KY
Tickets: purchase your tickets directly at the ships. There is usually a blue tent at the entrance to where the ships are docked. For group rates (15 or more people) call 787-672-2152 to schedule a tour. Visit the Columbus Ships website for more information.
Why we Love it: Both The Niña and Pinta tour together as a sailing museum, to educate the public on the ‘caravel,’ a Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many early explorers to discover the world. The Columbus Foundation takes great pride in displaying and maintaining the only traveling replicas in existence today.
Labor Day Weekend Arts & Crafts Show
Calling all Shoppers- This festival features three full days of artisan and crafter booths (over 100!), festive foods, demonstrations, and bluegrass music.
Dates: Saturday, August 31, 2019, 9AM – 5PM, Sunday, September 1, 2019, 9AM – 5PM, Monday, September 2, 2019, 9AM – 3PM
Location: Little Lake Park in Grand Rivers, KY
Tickets: Admission is $2 per Adult at the walk-in gate or $5 per vehicle parking inside the park (includes admission and parking for everyone in the car). Children under 12 years old are free. Visit the Grand Rivers Arts & Crafts Festival website for more information.
Why we love it: The Labor Day Weekend Arts & Crafts Festival is the largest and longest running craft show in Western KY. The event features original and handcrafted items from over 100 crafters and artisans from 10 states.
