

Hematite Lake Trail

Location: Hematite Lake Trail is located in north central Land Between the Lakes Near the Nature Station
Trailhead: From Grand Rivers travel South on Hwy 453, Turn left on Rd #134 and follow road to the trailhead parking.
Trail Description: This 2.2 mile loop trail circles around Hematite Lake and offers a chance to see migratory waterfowl and other wildlife. The back side of the trail features a ¼ mile long wetland boardwalk. This single track trail takes you lakeside and through wooded areas. It is an easy to intermediate level trail.
The boardwalk area did suffer storm damage. Check with Land Between The Lakes for updates. If not usable, you may need to go out and back along one side of the trail. Hematite Lake trail offers beautiful scenery spring through fall, in addition to waterfowl and wildlife viewing opportunities.
