When will Patti’s reopen? Published on December 7:
In a live Facebook video this week, Patti’s 1880’s Settlement announced a target date for opening Patti’s restaurants. Patti’s is targeting Mother’s Day of 2019 (May 12) for the opening date.
In February 2018, a fire damaged the kitchen of Patti’s 1880’s Settlement in Grand Rivers, KY. The dining rooms of Patti’s and Bill’s had extensive smoke and water damage, and the restaurants had to be razed.
After the fire, Patti’s announced they would reopen. They broke ground on the new building in August 2018.
Patti’s Ann and Dan Show reported on Facebook that the footer work, plumbing, and in-ground electric is complete on the new building. Walls will now start to rise as construction on the new restaurant building is underway.
Only the restaurants were damaged in the fire, and the gift shops, the garden area, Hamburger Patti’s food truck, and ice cream parlor and the Festival of Lights are currently OPEN FOR BUSINESS.
Visit the shops of Patti’s Christmas sales and enjoy Patti’s Festival of Lights with over 1 million lights in the Settlement as well. The Festival of Lights was recently featured on ABC’s Christmas Special the Great American Light Fight.
2018 Schedule for the Festival of Lights:
Experience the Christmas Lights at Patti’s every night at dusk starting November 2 through mid-January.
2018 Santa and Mrs. Claus Schedule:
Starting November 24th for the season; Sundays – Fridays, 4-7PM and Saturdays 4-8PM. Santa’s last day is December 23rd.
Patti’s Settlement also opened a new Hamburger Patti’s food truck, and an ice cream stand. The new menu features smoked pork chops, burgers, and more. The area includes a heated outdoor tent seating area.
In 1977, Bill, Patti, Chip, and Michael Lee, started Hamburger Patti’s Ice Cream Parlor in Grand Rivers, KY. The restaurant was a block building that was part of the 6-unit motel. The motel units quickly gave way to becoming dining rooms.
Patti’s became famous for their 2” thick pork chops, flower pot bread, mile-high desserts, signature dishes, outstanding customer service, and unique décor. The business grew, and in the little village of Grand Rivers (population 340), Patti’s annually served 350,000 customers each year.
