Events start on Friday, October 5, with the Miss Octoberfest Pageant and the Glow Run.
Pageant
The 2018 Miss Octoberfest Pageant will be held Friday October 5, 2018 beginning at 6:00 P.M.at the Livingston County Extension Office in Smithland, KY. Entry fees: 0-9 years old $15 and 10-18 years old $25. Entry forms may be completed day of pageant. Please contact Smithland Octoberfest Pageant Director Alicia Paris 270-816-1184 for additional questions or to enter early. Please note that Miss Octoberfest winners are expected to ride in the Octoberfest Parade on Saturday October 6th, 2018. You will be responsible for your own ride.

Glow Fun Run
The Smithland Octoberfest Glow Fun Run will be held Friday October 5, 2018 at the Livingston County Walking Trail. The race begins at 8:00 p.m. at the Livingston County Extension Office/Fairgrounds and proceeds down the trail through the Ball Park. This is a FUN RUN for all ages and will not be timed. The course is approximately 3 miles. Participants are encouraged to bring glow sticks and wear neon colors! Registration fee is $15 which guarantees a T-Shirt and glow stick if registered by September 20th. You may call 270-928-2168 for questions or register online.

Saturday Smithland Octoberfest
Saturday’s fun includes vendors, entertainment, activities for kids and the Parade at 1:00PM.
Vendors may submit applications for Octoberfest now. Vendor Questions can be directed to Suzanne Riley 270-519-9234 or Dominique Wood 270-928-2168. Vendor booth applications should be mailed to PO Box 344 Smithland, KY 42081.

The parade starts at 1:00. Line up starts at 12:00 If you plan on being in the parade.
The pet parade will be incorporated into the parade. So, if you plan on showing off your fur baby, please line up at 12:00 with the rest of the participants.
