We are putting together our calendar of Events for 2020, and just couldn’t wait to share these Spring 2020 Kentucky Lake Events.  Save the dates in your calendar and visit Kentucky Lake in 2020.  Here is a sneak peek at 2020’s Top Spring Events:

Land Between The Lakes Eagle Van Tours

Dress for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them as Land Between The Lakes naturalists guide you to these area eagle viewing hotspots.

Why we love it: Winter is peak season for bald eagle viewing, and Eagle van tours give visitors a chance to view these majestic birds in their natural habitat. Likewise, you get to enjoy time in nature.

Dates: January 4, 5, 11, 12, and 19.

Reservations: Eagle Van Tours are a very popular event and reservation numbers are limited.  Reservations and full deposits are required for all trips. Call 270-924-2020 to reserve your tour.

Camps are along the same street shown in the opening credits of “How The West Was Won”. The movie filmed quite a bit in the little town of Smithland, KY!

Why we love it: The organizers and reenactors are happy to share their wealth of knowledge and connect you with history.  You gain knowledge, it’s fun and it’s outdoors!

May Grand Rivers Stanley Walker Day

Enjoy an afternoon concert with music by Stanley Walker and friends. It is a celebration for a good cause!

Why we love it: Stanley celebrates his day by giving back to Kosair Charities. Stanley Walker is one of the oldest surviving patients of Kosair Children’s Hospital and every year he plays a concert in Grand Rivers as a fund raiser for the charity.

When Stanley was 10 years old, he developed a serious bone infection, and he spent nin months in Kosair Children’s Hospital. He almost didn’t survive. Today the illness Stanley had can be cured with simple antibiotics, but he remains grateful for the lifesaving effort he received from Kosair all those many years ago.

Dates: Sunday, May 17

Reservations: You may choose to make a donatio to Kosair Charities at the door.  Find more information at www.grandrivers.org
