KY Fishing License- Licenses and permits to fish, hunt, and trap in Kentucky in the coming license year are now on sale. The 2020-2021 license year begins March 1, 2020.

All Kentucky hunting and fishing licenses and permits can be purchased online through the secured Kentucky Fish and Wildlife License Sales site.

You may also purchase licenses and permits throughout the state at about 900 locations. Find the Kentucky list of License vendor locations at https://app.fw.ky.gov/VendorLocations/.

Licenses and permits can be purchased by phone as well.  Call 877-598-2401. You may purchase all licenses and permits, except a disability license, elk drawing application, and youth licenses and permits, by telephone.

Those who purchase licenses and permits by phone will be charged a small convenience fee, and must be paid for with a Visa, Mastercard, or Discover card, or an e-check. Purchasers will be issued an authorization number which then serves as the license or permit.

Kentucky is a top destination nationally for trophy deer. Likewise, Anglers from throughout the central United States come to Kentucky to fish its waters, including the state’s renowned trout fishery in the Cumberland River and the crappie fishery in Kentucky and Barkley Lakes.
